=S

Just took the plunge into audiophile goodness

After much research done online, auditioning @ jaben and deliberating before the inevitable result, I finally took the plunge and ordered Westone 2! They are my first dual-armature earphones, which means on each side of the earphone, there are actually 2 small speakers to handle different frequencies (high/low). A step up from my single-armature UM1s =D. Time for some pics..

They will be arriving in a couple of days hopefully, can’t wait for it!

Ondskan (Evil)

It’s been awhile since I’ve watched a movie that thrills my heart, without relying on cheap in-your-face scare tactics. Ondskan is one of them, along with my all-time favorite An American Crime. I really enjoy watching movies like that, but I would say it’s not for the faint hearted or people whose mood can be easily influenced.

I highly recommend giving this a go though, let me know what you think! ^^

Food Matters!

Can’t believe I’m only watching this so long after it was released. Heard of the documentary before, but never got around to downloading it for some reason. Anyway everyone who hasn’t watched it yet should do so! Oh and I just happen to be starting on a new book called ‘Bad Science’, which apparently is/was one of the bestsellers on Amazon. Purely coincidental or hidden truth finally coming to light?

MSI War Heroes

Working full-time for DotaSG for the next 2 months till I’m back in the UK, and part of my job will be managing this competition. Work work work!

Food fest over

Like finally! Nothing beats having the freedom to do whatever you want, without having to have to go to work. Oh no I sound so much like a couch potato. But at least potatoes are a good source of carbohydrates. *_*. Anyways, high time I should be watching Inception and getting some Karaoke in, so this period of frictional unemployment is coming at the right time. Three cheers for the unemployed!

Year 1 results

Received my transcript through email while I was still in KL, and lucky for me, it didn’t spoil my trip. I’ve already known my grades for awhile now, with the exception of 1 module (Statistics). Getting the official results now kinda represents a real end to the year. I’ll have to say I’m pretty satisfied to have got 90 for the module considering I used the wrong distribution method for 1 of the questions. That brings my overall average to 83, and the distinction that comes with it is like the icing on a cake.

Anyway for the most part, I’m glad with how things went for Year 1. Time to enjoy the holidays now before school re-opens again!

Off to Kuala Lumpur

Leaving for KL in a couple of hours’ time, running a DotA tournament in Berjaya Times Square over the weekend. Will finish work on Sunday night, have 1 day of R&R (Rest & Recreation), and be back Tuesday early morning. Cheers to DotaSG!

Phuket – Summer 2010

Enjoyed myself in Phuket alot, it’s a nice place with cheap living standards, and friendly people. Went snorkeling, elephant trekking, drove an ATV, water rafting, body massage, did a facial, and lazed around beaches. All for a fraction of the cost of what I would spend if travelling in some other countries.

Verdict: Go to Phuket if you haven’t yet, and if you have, go there again for a cheap getaway from the city!
